1. Legal Status (Texas Private School)
Bellemount Academy Homeschool operates as an unaccredited private school within the State of Texas. In accordance with the landmark Texas Supreme Court decision, Leeper v. Arlington ISD, we provide a bona fide academic curriculum in a visual form.
Affiliation: Member of the Texas Home School Coalition (THSC), Member #22706
Legal Framework: Bellemount Academy operates as a private school in accordance with the Texas Supreme Court’s Leeper v. Arlington ISD decision. We strictly adhere to all state requirements for private home schools, providing a bona fide, sequential curriculum in a visual form. Our core course of study includes Reading, Spelling, Grammar, Mathematics, and Good Citizenship. In addition to these required subjects, our comprehensive K-12 program includes advanced instruction in Fine Arts (Cello), World Language (Spanish), and Computer Science, featuring immersive learning through Virtual Reality (VR) environments.
2. Oversight & Accreditation Partnership
While operating independently, Bellemount Academy maintains professional institutional oversight through Clonlara School. This partnership provides:
Official Record Keeping: Maintenance of permanent academic transcripts.
Program Validation: External review of educational plans and student progress.
Diploma Path: A recognized path to high school graduation and college readiness.
3. Research-Based Curriculum
Our Academy utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to K-12 instruction. We curate materials from leading research-based curriculum providers, including Savvas Learning(formerly Pearson), to ensure our students meet and exceed national academic standards.
4. Data Privacy & Safety (COPPA/FERPA)
As an educational institution, Bellemount Academy is committed to student data privacy.
Compliance: We operate in accordance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).
Consent: Parental consent is required for all student digital accounts. We utilize Google Workspace for Education's core services to provide a secure, ad-free learning environment.

Observed Holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Break (Nov 23-27),
